Winter Palace Studio

Winter Palace Studio is an animation studio specializing in Stop-motion based in Rochefort-du-Gard and Montpellier.

The stop-motion studio was created in May 2021. Winter Palace Studio was born from the meeting of Louise Bongartz and Pierrick Chapon and their common desire to develop projects on a human scale and concerned with sustainable stop-motion animation.

The name of the stop-motion studio “Winter Palace Studio” originally comes from a cinema in Brussels, Belgium.
The Winter Palace Cinema belonged to the great-grandmother of Louise Bongartz. A small, strong and independent woman who left France to manage her cinema in Brussels.

The story continues with a stop-motion studio with a human scale that wants to carry creative and respectful projects. 

Montpellier seemed ideal for establishing a stop-motion studio. The establishment in this culturally dynamic city will allow us to strengthen our local partnerships.
